Chromatic Time Offset
This plugin offsets individual channels to create an effect known as chromatic aberration. There are many other expensive chromatic aberration plugins on the market however none offset channels in time.
Offsetting time is the perfect way to add additional detail and visual appeal to motion. This looks particularly impressive when combined with motion blur.
Offsetting position is a great way to remove the ‘pixel perfect’ appearance which computer graphics suffer from.
Both offsets can also be used to create the popular “glitch” distortion effect.
This is a native plugin for After Effects PC & Mac versions CS6 and up (CS6, CC, CC2014, CC2015, CC2017). It is multithreaded to be efficient on multi-core CPU’s and is compatible with 8 and16 bpc. The plugin also works at 32bpc but values will be clamped between 0 and 1.0.
